We have a Super Bowl Champion in Priest Anthony Holmes!

Born in Fort Smith, Arkansas, Priest Holmes was raised in San Antonio, Texas, which he calls home. Holmes played football at John Marshall High School, where he led his school to the state championship game. After graduating from high school in 1992, he attended the University of Texas at Austin.

In 1997, his NFL Career took him to play for the Baltimore Ravens, earning a ring in Super Bowl XXXV. In 2001, he joined the Kansas City Chiefs where he set team records in career rushing attempts, career rushing yards, career rushing touchdowns, and total touchdowns.

In 2007, his legendary collegiate and post-collegiate accomplishments were commemorated with an induction in the San Antonio Sports Hall of Fame, Missouri Sports Hall of Fame, UT Longhorn Hall of Honor and the Texas High School Hall of Fame in Waco, Texas.

Since retiring from the NFL, Priest is once again calling San Antonio his home and has become one of the city’s most active philanthropists. Talented Singer/Songwriter Tony Allotta

Tony Allotta writes, sings and plays acoustic songs born of his own solid roots. Real. Good. Life. This is Tony and it is also his music; hardcore folksy Americana, straight-from-the-heart and the mind, with bright, current themes. Music is not a new passion for him. He grew up in a home with parents immersing the family in a great variety of music; his dad played guitar from the day he was born. This thirty-six year old singer songwriter is a family man from San Antonio, Texas. Much of his current lyrical content is inspired by his own family – his wife and three beautiful daughters. Tony learned the guitar young and has picked it up again and exploded in a flurry of song writing heard recently by crowds at local venues. A growing internet fan-base and charts have taken notice in a positive way. Aside from his dad, Tony’s had numerous musical influences, some obvious, others not so much. The earlier, older lot includes legends such as Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, and the Beatles. More recent on the music scene include Ray LaMontagne, Mason Jennings, Jack Johnson. When Tony performs the occasional cover, it is most likely a tune you know from one of these greats. Although the casual listener might think “This guy is good, he should make it as a top singer”, it is much deeper than that with Tony. While his clear-toned, poetic voice laid onto solid guitar chords is quite enjoyable listening, this songwriter is a man with a potent message. The talent you hear on the surface is wrapped in his thoughts and emotions about the rewards of life lived right, who you love and how you treat that stranger. (Put him in a biker bar to sing his original ‘John Wood’ – there won’t be a dry bandana in the house!). The spring from which this message comes is Tony’s good life thus far and his hopes and dreams for the future.

We have a singer amongst us....Felix Truvere

Felix Truvere & the Open Road Band have opened for Jerrod Niemann, Steel Magnolia, and Dean Dillon (George Strait's songwriter) in the past year at the historic BLUE BONNET PALACE & LONGHORN SALOON. This year on July 2, they'll be opening for Jason Boland at The Dust Devil Fest in La Pryor, TX. They have experience covering San Antonio's large market venues and are currently the House Band at the STOCKYARDS SALOON, San Antonio, TX, and The LONGHORN SALOON in Bandera, TX. This band has a CD release to occur with a CD release party estimated on August 6, 2011 at BLUE BONNET PALACE. This group is highly talented, high energy, and covers a wide variety of country, dance, and mix.

Felix Truvere is a musician with a background in music educational teaching. He worked at USAA FSB as a loan officer/underwriter & trainer. His singing talents were discovered on Myspace Karaoke as he was deemed the "Most Popular Performer" on Myspace Karaoke in the Nation. This propelled Felix to persure vocal music as a new career as the demand led him to a new road. Felix formed the Open Road Band. Coming soon, the National ABC Network will showcase Felix's vocal & performing talents on a show that will be similar to American Idol.
